I Light a Candle of Hope.
With Hope in My Heart and Mind,
I Contemplate and long for an experience.
The Birth of My Inner Christ Child.
With an attitude of Hope I am open and
receptive to an inner Birth of the Christ Nature
within the Manger of My own Heart.
I hold watch over My thoughts as Love and Wisdom
unite in Me and expands out into My Life.
The word adventure, which means an unusual, stirring experience, comes from, the same Latin root word as the word Advent. I propose this advent season be approached with a sense of adventure. An adventure within our own body, mind and spirit. Let us seek within our self that which is peaceful, that which is loving, that which is joyous. This adventure takes us inward and hope will fuel our journey.
In the busy pace of life it can be difficult to find peace, joy and love. However hope compels us to find our inner center where they abide and to remember they are ours.
No matter how busy we may be in the weeks to come, we can move forward in our adventure to find an inner experience of peace, love and joy. This means setting time aside each day to be quiet and contemplate, so we may rediscover a deeper meaning within our life. Then the adventure can continue as our constant companion.
As we light this first candle of Advent. It symbolizes the illumination of the Christ Spirit within us.
We carry the light of wisdom and understanding within our heart and we can experience it more fully in our life. One of the things we can do in our own homes is create an Advent wreath to frame four candles and light one each week to symbolize our "soul lighting." Just as the candle light transforms the darkness. We too can become silent and listen to God guiding our thought's and prayers. We let hope light our life and guide our ways.
Let's join together in conscious meditation and prayer as we unfold our God Nature in this Holy Season and throughout the Years.
