Personal and Spiritual growth is not about being comfortable. It is about change and growth. Moving from our old forms of doing to new ways of being in our life. Paradigms shifts that can create unpleasant profound changes in our day to day world.
Many of us remember when we got our first microwave and learning to cook and warm things, with out it exploding all over the oven. It was simply a new learning opportunity.
We have long forgotten the initial struggles with that learning curve. Or have we?
It was easy to fall into our old patterns of cooking on the stove and not try to learn how to master the microwave.
This is one example of how we hold onto our old patterns in our life. We are living in a world of continual change. The news and reports continue to change through out a day just like the weather. The hype and fast talking of the reporters can raise a persons emotional concerns and bring more stress into our life. No wonder people are stressed and depressed and they do not know why. When we allow the outer world to control our inner stability and Peace of Mind we are living from the out side in. We do have the power to change the things we allow to stay in our mind that effects our thoughts, feelings and actions. It is all about being aware of how the outer things effect our inner stability and peace of mind. Then taking action to clear out the old and replace fears with Love and wisdom.
Reflective thought and meditation brings to our awareness the things in our life we would like to change and the inner strength to make the changes as well as the inner wisdom to know what we of our selves can do. We become aware of the things we simply need to turn over to God and the actions we can take to bring forth greater peace and harmony into our life experiences. The purpose of meditation is for us to have an experience of God. An experience of oneness and connection with the Infinite.
We are called to do life from the inside out and not be fooled by the status quo of this worn out world. As a plant grows it changes. To have a oak tree the acorn must break open, grow and change. We to must break our old habit patterns and release our inner potential, so we can experience greater inner growth and fulfillment in our life. If we continue to do the things we have always done in the same old way we will never have new growth or new fulfilling experiences.
As we listen for the still inner voice, within us it becomes clearer and more profound with practice. Just as we cultivate other talents, practicing the presence of God will improve our receptivity to the divine connection and guidance. Then we will experience an inner security that reassures us of the Infinite presence in our personal life.
God calls us to become more than we are today and step forth trusting our inner voice to guide us into newness of life and more fulfilling experiences today and always. Loving and Living life to the fullest and being a Blessing wherever we go.
Joyous Blessing
